Jerry, Rosie and their adult daughter Bianca will be the next household to receive an assistance dog. Their involvement will see the project expand west into Adelaide, South Australia.
Jerry and Rosie relish the outdoors and often enjoy short trips away in their caravan. They have had both big and small dogs as pets in the past, but are now excited to welcome an assistance dog into their family. They’re looking forward to taking their dog on caravan beach trips, into shopping centres, cafes, and for longer walks around the neighbourhood.
Rosie writes on behalf of her family:
“We enjoyed another great visit from the Dogs 4 Dementia team today, they bring so much energy into our home. Wow, this really is going to happen. Our new family member will arrive a week earlier than expected, next week! How excited we all are to welcome him or her to our family. We feel so privileged to be given this wonderful opportunity. A huge thank you to Dogs4Dementia & Assistance Dogs Australia.”
